Another weekend trip, planned at the last moment. Being exam season, most places were available but we stayed at a resort about 20 km from Hassan. The drive down was fairly comfortable while the resort itself was quite empty. The backyard of the room though with a pond was what really brought a smile to us. After just hanging around the pool and the play area for a while, post dinner, I spent the evening shooting stars over the pond.
The next day started off with a quick trip to a nearby hilltop temple with a great view. We got lost on the way but the alternative hilltop we found was just as scenic. The road to Hassan was under construction, so we took a longer detour going past Gorur dam. A quick stop at Halebidu in the evening wrapped up a rather relaxing weekend.
