Another hill station in Tamil Nadu with a lake and a few scenic spots. It is not too far away from Bangalore and not too high. It was hot during the day so the hotel we stayed at had most people in the swimming pool most of the time. The town is quite small and not as famous as the other hill stations around so there are very few hotels to stay as well.
The lake is quite small and not very well maintained but there are a few rides for the kids. The main attraction in town is the bird park, though another one has opened just next to it with the same name. Both of them claim to be the original one with more exotic birds. I would like to believe I got it right as we fed the macaws and saw quite a few species. There are a couple of scenic points and the Golden temple at Sripuram is just a one day trip from there as we found out.
